THE RETURN

About

A book without words that says so much. A narrative where we see reflected all the returns and all the family reunions in that common house to which we never stop wishing to come back. We return to memories of spaces, smells, sounds and people that welcome us in their sameness or with the surprise of those little big details that strike us for the first time. With the return comes the unpacking of suitcases and ideas that we took so well packed when we left. But above all, and because not everything fits in a suitcase, it exceeds its weight, we continually return to renew energies where everything starts and finishes: family.

AUTHORS

Born in Sverdlovsk, Russia, Natalia Chernysheva graduated from the Ural State Academy of Architecture and Art, majoring in graphics and animation. She worked as an animator, character designer and artist on several animated films, before debuting as a director with "Snowflake". More recently she studied in La Poudrière, in France, where she directed the films "Friends" and "The Return", which she now transfromed into a book for Bruaá.
