The title of this book is the phrase starting the first sentence of the Old Testament. According to the bible, the creator made light first before creating man. Then what was it like before light was made? The artist imagines, what would have happened if man lived in the dark age before light was made. In darkness, mand would move like an animal. Maybe “light” could mean something that makes human beings different form animals?
