We live surrounded by pictures. Since always. The impulse to represent what surrounds us is as old as humanity itself. Cave paintings, hieroglyphs, iluminations, murals, canvases… We represent to describe, to register, to apprehend. We represent to communicate. We represent for us and for others. By selfishness or altruism. To see and offer sights.
Almost 3000 illustrators from 105 countries participated in this 8th edition of Ilustrarte. Thank you all!
As a whole the selection offers once again a magnificent panorama of contemporary international illustration. A varied mix of styles, techniques and themes, well know artists side by side wth younger illustrators, from the four corners of the world.
