About
In the past, cities like Amsterdam and Copenhagen set the standard for cycling culture. Today, however, the love of bicycles is impossible to miss in other European metropolises. Cyclists navigate these urban landscapes in colorful, diverse, and creative ways, with their choice of bike often reflecting who they are—or aspire to be. Berlin-based illustrator Jakob Hinrichs, a proud rider of an old Dutch bike, has observed this phenomenon closely. With his distinctive style, he has created a typology of cyclists that delights the eye, appealing to more than just two-wheel enthusiasts. Modern Cyclists showcases characters rolling through the city.
